Meet Anne Geraghty
I’m Anne Geraghty, a qualified and insured sports massage, remedial massage and manual therapist based at Thurles Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. My experience spans clinical, spa, fitness and corporate settings in Ireland and Australia, giving me a broad and adaptable approach to treatment.

Qualifications
My core qualifications include ITEC qualifications in Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Massage and Reflexology, together with National Training Centre qualifications in Exercise & Health Studies, Personal Training and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
I have undertaken additional specialist training in Levels 1 and 2 dry needling, myofascial cupping, Reflexology Lymph Drainage, pregnancy massage, pre and postnatal exercise prescription, sports taping and strapping, Indian head massage and corporate chair massage.
Membership & Insurance
I am a full member of the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA) and a registered member of the National Register of Reflexologists Ireland (NRRI). These memberships reflect my commitment to professional standards, ethical practice and continuing professional development. I also hold current practitioner insurance, arranged through Brian Mullins Insurance Brokers, covering the therapies offered at the clinic.
Experience
After qualifying, I worked in the luxury spa sector at Spirit One Spa in the Radisson Hotel, Galway, and in the fitness industry at Trinity Leisure Centre, Nenagh.
I later spent time in Western Australia, where I worked as a corporate massage therapist with Corporate Hands and as a remedial therapist at Mount Lawley Wellness Chiropractic Centre. I subsequently specialised in remedial and pregnancy massage at Embody Health in Subiaco, Perth.
After returning to Ireland, I established AG Sports Massage & Manual Therapy in Thurles in 2023.
My Approach
Every appointment is tailored to the individual. I take time to understand your concerns, assess the areas involved and adapt the treatment to your comfort, preferences and goals. Massage and manual therapy appointments are booked by duration rather than by individual technique. Depending on your needs, your treatment may include deep-tissue massage, relaxation massage, hot stones, dry needling, myofascial cupping, trigger-point and neuromuscular techniques, Indian head massage techniques, assisted stretching and PNF stretching, where appropriate. Treatments may focus on muscular pain, tension, restricted movement, physical recovery or simply providing time to relax and unwind.
